Hey guys, moving onto a new project at the minute. It's a relatively straightforward train station project. I want to move away from my usual night scenes and see where I can push this project. The current theme is grungy overcast (basically the UK haha).

Lot more details to come. The white box is a placeholder for the central power lines.

A bench from today!
Today I worked on a notice board, which I'm going to set up a blueprint system for so you can write anything you'd like on it.
It's also animated!

I made a system for creating unique time boards using blueprints - so you can set your destination to anywere! The biggest caveat was the platforms along the way - I had to use as scrolling texture so those are unfortunately are quite baked. I made a few variations on it though - and I have a friend helping out with a system that might also work to type it in.
Here's it now for the end of today. Just a simple blockin for the overhead cables, would like to get them out of the way tomorrow.
Here's a list of places that definitely exist in the UK:
Spent today making some overhead cables with a spline system for the wires.
More progress! Lot of block-ins have been added but the overall clutter is coming together nicely I think.
Making an elevator and staircase set at the moment.
The platform is in a state where it just needs a couple of props and some adjustments in and around the gravel area to break it up (as well as some more tracks) but it's time to move onto the next stage of this, which is creating a small microcommunity beneath the whole station. I plan to make a modular street set I can build various shops, scenes and so forth into it. My main reference point is the Keihan Kayashima Station in Osaka, and google street view is proving invaluable for geometry reference at the minute.
Want to have a lot of charm and nooks you can walk through. The buildings wont be enterable but they'll be set up to be built inside of, with a nice window material that makes it more believable.
And here's me walking around the current scene, just to give a sense of how it feels:

Here's what I've worked on today. I made a set of modular staircases for the platform. All on a single 2k sheet.
sub platform area. Looking quite rough at the moment. Going to add a whole list of items to this area to clutter it up. Main focus from now is creating the exit area.
and a panoramic lad:
I appreciate all the nice comments so far too Thanks everyone
This project has been sat in limbo for a while but I've finally got the time to pick it up full time again for another asset pack. This is what we've been doing recently. Lots of facade work and detail work on the street area. Once this place has been fleshed out fully we can start placing it throughout the "playable" area. Which is going to be around this big:
Since you asked
Thank you
What about the interior areas with the overhead fluorescents?
The whole scene is awesome. Could be a great CS:GO map.
Just a single rect light
