Hi!
So this weird balding spot surged on the side of mesh today when I tried to make it furry, right away as I was combing it there was this stubborn patch that didn't really move much. It's the only one and it doesn't appear on the other side of the head (that has the same geo)
I tried:
  • cleaning the mesh
  • optimising
  • redoing the density on that one spot
  • as shown in another image, redid the density with longer stands, still renders out as bald
  • tried generating fur on another layer/description, didn't work out too well either

I don't think this has to do with geo but I can't see what else it could be.
Any help will be appreciated!

    SOLVED IT!!!!
    sorta

It was driving me insane, so for anyone who's curious or facing the same issue:
    • Turn collision with mesh off in your tool, even if it's on minimum
    • carefully comb or drag hair, it's better to comb in the direction you want and then in a sideways angle pull it out of your mesh so it doesn't intersect
Bottom line, it just takes a ton of care and patience, and don't bother using guides, they're just as stiff and unmoving, CARE AND PATIENCE (and perseverance)
