Hello! I'm Dio Hellmouth, I'm (primarily) a 2D artist who draws characters, human or otherwise, and creatures! You can find my work on Tumblr, Artstation, and DeviantArt! I am also on Twitter, where I sometimes post unique things (mostly sketches)!
Finished my part of another art trade. I love winged characters but they can also be a bit of a headache sometimes (especially if feathers are involved)
Hey! Here's Nier: Automata's 2B but With Pants: A Redesign
(These sketches featuring a longer coat came later)
More importantly I guess, I'm also trying my hand at this Inktober business, even though I'm not very good at drawing in general without an underlying sketch of some sort.
Going with the "Monster Girls Challenge" for now, here's #1, the Harpy, here depicted as a... backwards headed (the "nose" and "mouth" are nostrils) feathery vampire-bat centaur.
Something I compiled for the ArtShare tag on Twitter, even though most of these're pretty old at this point. I guess haven't drawn anything 'presentable' in a while, huh*?
I stopped being able to come up with interesting concepts for lost interest in the Monster Girls Challenge, so the past 2 days I've just drawn video game characters from memory...
Day 16, Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria
... but the sketch came out so wonky I felt bad, so here she is redrawn digitally!
Day 17, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. Also wonky but I'm not gonna bother...
Day 19, Awakened Daimon from Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
All that aside, I think I might call it quits in regards to Inktober.
I'm really not a fan of ... the lack of control? inherent to working
directly with whatever they're called, and all I've accomplished is
eroding whatever confidence I had and reminding myself what a mediocre
artist I am...
Finished these two ‘baseline’ Taitorim, been wanting to get them out of my system for a while now. Can't believe they've become my favourite design of mine, though...
To go with the above post, here's Taitor, whose name his clan bears thanks Soul Reaver They are supposed to be wearing clothes but I haven't gotten around to it...
With the Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement I felt inspired to revisit my quasi-realistic take on Hornet. You can check it out along with the previous version on ArtStation!
Gave Taitor and Hatack some clothes, although I'm not sold on the latter's and I've been second-guessing the entire project altogether...
although I did get started on this 'Elf Queen' (think of them as closer to... rabbit fauns than tolkien rip-offs) design before all that... Also comes with a more... controversial version.
Hello, it's been a while. I'm still drawing, though (for some reason...)
(each image links to their ArtStation page where you can see previous versions and various sketches, on the off chance you found them, y'know, interesting at all...)
