Hi everyone, this is the first time I'm posting here so nice to meet ya. I have a basic understanding of topology/ retopology but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to really get started. I want to create low poly game characters that have a small amount of deformation issues for animation, so I would like to do this properly. This is the character that I've created so far and I'm proud of it for the most part but I would like to become a master at proper topology and edge flow. Does anyone know the best place I should start (videos and guides) because I am just a bit lost.

Places I struggle with are mainly shoulder/ torso edge flow, and clothing (like t shirts). Any help is great help, thanks!

There's nothing wrong with that model nor any need to retopologise. It's fine the way it is. Retopology usually implies that a high detail model needs to have normal baked into it. Low poly models without highpolys absolutsly so not need retopology.

Ah I think I understand. I don't know if I did this right for animation however, for the shirt I followed a video on body topology and just shaped the body into a shirt. Will that be fine, can I get away with just using body topology for a shirt? Or will I have to learn the topology for shirts in order for the deformation to look natural.
