Hi all,
Not sure I am the only one, but I had a hard time making my
Intuos 3D tablet work over wireless on macOS.
- It did work over USB.
- It did work over wireless for a few times, but I couldn't find a consistent pattern to persuade/activate it.
- Unlike Wacom bluetooth product, the connection is not managed by macOS natively, it's hard to tell whether the source of problem is the USB receiver or the Tablet.
- All I can see is tablet going into sleep mode after 4 seconds of searching for receivers (eg. indicator lights off).
I already did the clean install latest driver + reboot route, and my battery is fully charged, neither seem to help.
I dread to ask Wacom support as this sort of problems are generally hard to answer (unless it's a known driver bug). I am pretty confident my tablet and kit are alright hardware-wise as they are quite new.
So my question: Have you faced similar problem with Wacom wireless kit? How did you resolve it?Thx in advance!
(from someone who's traveling and didn't have a usb line)
(by the way, is there an unspoken rule that one should use the previous stable wacom driver, not the latest? I saw
quite a few confirmed bug with latest wacom driver, and the solution is: use the previous driver... and
wacom driver page already list the previous driver in prominent place)

This is the first solution the tech support offered and it worked.
Turns out the wireless kit is ever-so-slightly incompatible with the usb port Macbook Pro uses, pushing the receiver completely into the usb port caused this issue (where the usb receiver isn't detected by macOS).
So there, I learned something new today.
