Hello,

I'm looking for advice on how to improve this character sculpt. I've used a basemesh from the manuel bastion lab Blender addon to get correct proportions but now that I've sketched in the basic forms I'm lost as how to proceed. I've also added my reference board so you can get an idea what kind of character this is going to be.

Cheers,
Win

You should hide your brush strokes. Probably smooth/clay brush out the overlapping brush alphas. And you should consider how you'd like to further accent the emaciation in terms of narrative. Right now it just pretty rough ribs and muscles, it'd be nice to see an overlaying layer of skin over the emaciation, or the bones slightly transforming into something more visible/weaponized to name a couple examples. Also, I think the other half of your character's narrative is going to depend on how you're going to texture it, considering the character more holistically might prevent you from getting stuck in the sculpting phase. Hope that helps.
