Hi! How does modeling eye sockets and mouth for animation looks like? While sculpting them, must I keep mouth open and eye closed to retopology it properly for animation?
When I unwrap and bake textures I prefer the eyelids to be half closed so I'm not stretching a tiny thin strip of polys/texture when the eyes are closed. Of course that makes everyone look drugged out and sleepy so that is usually one of the last steps I take just before baking.
I do the same for the lips because it sucks trying to bake lips that touch, the projection goes through the other lip and makes a mess. Plus, parted lips are easier to weight. But it's not a huge gap and if makes them look stupid I wait until after approval to do it. It's just a technical step, to make my life easier.
