Hello there everyone,
My name is Charles Webb, I am an independent game designer with Faux-Operative Games. We are currently offering paid digital 3D modeling work.
We are working on the pre physical production stage of an upcoming board game, and will need someone to convert some concept art we are currently having made into 3D printable CAD files suitable for mass produced plastic miniatures. (about 1.2 inches tall each)
Since this is our first time doing anything like this (our previous project was a successfully kickstarted digitally distributed video game) we're looking for someone with some experience creating models for 3D printed plastic miniatures. (We don't want to end up with something we can't use, and when it comes to this style of production we are admittedly not super knowledgeable.)
So we are looking for someone that can guide us on the criteria we will need to fulfill to make sure the end product is consistent and high quality, bonus points if you have worked on miniatures for a mass produced board game in the past.
There will be 10 humanoid characters and one 'robotic rodent' which we will be providing concept art for and which will need to be converted into suitable 3D sculpts. The humanoid sculpts would be about 1.2 inches tall (although the target physical size is not set in stone, and if we had a good reason to change it that is definitely on the table.) This is a science fiction oriented project.
This is, of course, paid work. If you are interested in working with us on this project, email us at fauxoperativegames@gmail.com with your portfolio along with a basic estimate of how much you would charge per each CAD file or what your general pricing scheme is and we will take a look and be in touch. Looking forward to hearing from the talented artists here.
