This post carries on from my previous one showing my WIP for the Shadow Blade build.

Almost all the parts will be printed in 2 halves so I can assemble the model around the electronics.
I've already printed the blade but I will likely be going for a hollow blade to ensure that the light penetrates the blade better.

For the electronics, I've used a Trinket microcontroller, A powerbooast C (recharge), a 3.3v LiPo battery (mounted into the handle and a capacitive touch sensor attached to a brass grub skrew on the handle. Lastly, I have a set of neopixels running a fade in/out sketch from the trinket. All bought from Adafruit.
The enclosed link shows off the lighting in bright and low light.
Now to fix printability issues on Shapeways.
