London Polycount Meetups!

Come one! Come all! It's another London Polycount meetup!

Same weekend as EGX Rezzed, so if you were planning to attend that, then it's a perfect opportunity to meet some fellow polycounters and have a good laugh!

An 'official' meeting place and time will be announced closer to the date. But the date will stand firm as there is plenty of time for people to arrange transport in and accommodation if needed. The reason for not announcing an official place and time right now, is because our past meetups have tended to be huge, with lots more people turning up than actually saying so here, so this will give us a good indication of the size of venue we might need to book (if we have to book one).

So, tagging along with Fearian seemed to be the right thing to do. Y'all were very welcoming and friendly, and in the short time I was there and hearing everyone working on all of their projects made me want to work on my own stuff again and sign up for a PC account. So hey!

If you want to visit Krakow, Poland, I have a sofa that turns into a bed for you (and probably any PCer unless they give crazy murderer vibes). Got some extra sheets and a cupboard to put some stuff in but no duvet. Have fun in England and Amsterdam!

you don't want to hear this but i can't resist to party-poop: wrong choice of season to go visit northern europe - especially the aforementioned parts known to be generally on the more chilly, windy and wet side of the spectrum. these are summer destinations.

at any rate might want to skip amsterdam and try antwerp (belgium) instead. in my experience prettier and less crowded with drunk tourists. no weather upgrade i'm afraid. you could try bruges too.

d'oh. I'm in London but I'll probably be away that week. But even if the weather ain't that great - there's plenty to do. There are some of the best museums in the world here, and tons of history. What I love best about London is that - if you really have no plan - you can just wander around and find lots of interesting places and inspiration. Also, it's the most multi-cultural city in the world - if you just want to try some different cuisine than the usual, that's also a fun thing to do. Or cook yourself - Chinatown is very central and they got pretty much anything Chinese/Japanese/Korean you may want in the supermarkets there.

I'm not far from London these days and always up for meeting up with other polycounters, although I post so little these days don't think I can really call myself one

If you're planning on having some drinks in London or something I'd be up for that.

And as another Scot I'd suggest while you can checking out some of Scotland, there's direct Edinburgh to London flights/ trains and it's got some great pubs and plenty of stuff for any history nerd
