Currently working on my first rig and need a bit of help.
Here is my problem in a nut shell...
I've tried to use keyed blend shapes to alleviate not so great geometry folding when bending certain limbs. However, when I bend a limb in more than one axis at once I end up with a mess like this...
If you have any advice it would be much appreciated!

Thank you!
I wanted to improve my character lip sync and acting skills.
Here's the high quality unlit version:
And here's the ''lit'' light version:

I just tried out syncsketch and really love it ! Is it planned to be integrated in polycount one day ? I'd love that !

I would love some feed back on it if possible. Note the rig took me 2 days to make and i was trying something different for the IK legs and toes. It is a simple clean rig.

I'm currently studying the cast animations in older Fire Emblem games. I grew up loving their sprite animations, especially the mage cast animations. So I'm recreating one in 3d to see what I can learn from them! I'm still blocking everything out right now, but I figured I would share it with you all.

This isn't the same animation progressed, but a new variant.
The Adventure rig has such an appealing style, I couldn't help but tweak him a bit! I love working with Kiel's rigs!
Great work with your piece earlier btw! It had some strong body mechanics and complex movement. You really nailed the fluidity on it!
I've adjusted the arms. Let me know what you think.

Both are still a work in progress. The second one more so than the first.
But I love dance animation, and this is one of the ones I went the furthest.

This is the super rough version where you can see how far I was aiming for this particular segment.

I feel like by the time I'm done, Nintendo will be rolling out their next Mario game x'D
Let me know what you think.

@ConnorSwartwood
Hmm
..your stuff feels very stiff at times and the poses are weird. None of it seems natural to me. You should look at more references to get your motion a more natural look...
@kohyunu
Man, this is some wonderful stuff. Always a pleasure to see good 2D animation in here.:D
@Hito
That was awesome honestly. Reminds me of Zenyatta a bit. Nice arcs man.
@rbc100
Nice ref. The timing is overall good but the whole thing lacks weight, balance and the poses could be pushed a bit more.
Hi, I personally recommend getting a free student version of Autodesk Maya or 3ds max to learn on, as that will probably be the software you use when you get hired at a company. That being said, this is the animation forum, you would probably get better responses if you asked in the 3D Modeling forum linked here. Also I recommend reading over the introduction to the polycount forums thread linked here.
There is also a lot of information on the wiki, which you can find at the top of the page.
Best of luck!

I'll try something a little different next time. I had already started this and it's still a wip, but I try to do something that looks more natural next.
