Hi!

This is a personal piece I was working last fall on and off. I wanted to share it here. It started life as a speed-sculpt that I worked into something half-way between a character/asset. Sculpting all the bark details were fun!

I'm self-taught and there's a lot I feel like I still don't understand about presentation/rendering. If there's interest I can post some process pictures too.

Feedback of any kind is welcome!

Really nice sculpting! The forms get a bit lost due to the noise imo. Maybe some colour changes to help focus the image?

I agree with Pav3D, some extra colour variation would really help with focus and presentation. I would also suggest working in another material onto the character, perhaps for the eyes, to suggest that this is a living creature rather than a wooden sculpture.

@Pav3d thanks! I wonder if it's better to do so through post processing or if I should make some adjustments to the scene lighting to do this.

@RogueHero I actually did intend for her to just be kind of a statue, or at least in some kind of dormant state. I'm having a hard time thinking of what kind of material differentiation I could do for this, but it's a good suggestion!
