Id like your initial thoughts on the motion. the character. do you find this interesting. this is not the full scene. but the character dodges an attack. while getting up is attacked by another character
Similar to what was mentioned above, I'm having a little trouble understanding what exactly is happening. She runs and then all of a sudden she is on the floor.
There's a lot going on and very little of it is readable. I would suggest making a shorter scene with only one character attacking her and making the action crystal clear. Focus on poses, timing and body mechanic.
It's very hard to critique as it is, it's a long clip and it's visually very busy.
Hey Tyree. If you're interested in practicing animation I think it'd be better to start with basic exercises like a bouncing ball, or very simple character animations. If you really want to keep working on this shot, I think you'll need to do some more work before the idea is clear enough to get critique. Right now there aren't enough keys to really connect the motion, especially with all of the distracting colors and shapes. I would start by getting rid of the little screen in the bottom left of the video. Then make everything gray so the colors aren't distracting. Then add more keys so we can see when/how the character is transitioning from one action to another.
Hey tyree, Some the poses you have here are really interesting. But I think you need to take the other's advice and work on the basics. Then you can come back to a scene like this and impress everyone.
I noticed several artist in the past 2 weeks with work that reminds me of my own. all zbrush work. despite this characters appearance no brush or sculpting program was used
It might be a good idea to post reference material of the look you're trying to achieve, since it seems like people, myself included, are having a hard time grasping what you're going for. Beyond that I'd recommend working on the basics of character animation, like other people have commented.
I would really recommend trying to find and post some reference material that is similar to what you are trying to achieve in your animation, so that we have something to compare your work to. I also think that making a storyboard to nail down the direction and key poses of your fight would help alot, from there i would make a clip of just the extremes so that your poses are as clear and easy to understand as possible. Lastly i would recommend using the website syncsketch to get a critique on your work so that other people can view your clip frame by frame.
Hey, as others have mentioned its hard to know what kind of feedback you are looking for with these. I think one of the big issues is readability as it is very hard to see what is happening which makes it even harder to give feedback. I would suggest starting with something less complicated and focus more on the animation principles. Bouncing balls, walk cycles.. etc. Before jumping into such an intense scene.

this is interesting, but may not look like much upon first viewing. a 2d character in 3d game. this is a test with the camera following the
2d character. not side scrolling. or overhead or 3/4 view. but will be behind the back 3d action with a 2d character
