When I export the model to the viewer the opacity/transparency gets very noisy. I get this only in the viewer, not when i capture/render the image. Does any one know what is wrong? Thanks!
This is a limitation of the transparency technique we use for Viewer, which is mean more for hair than soft transitions like this. One thing you can do is set your sky mode to color and then match the background color with the ground plane so the noisy isn't visible.
Set specular intensity and fresnel to 0 if you don't want reflections on the ground plane.
For glass you should try using additive transparency rather than dither. We're planing on adding refraction support to Viewer with the next update, which should work even better.

Thank you for your reply. I'll try that. Could that also be used on stained glass? I've the same noise on the windscreen of my airplane model.
