Kayle is a character that I have always admired from League and I'm excited to be re-imagining a Splash Art image for her. Viridian Kayle has really nice splash art where she is in a static, yet powerful pose. I am looking to create an illustration where she is in mid-attack showing she is not a force to be messed with. One of the challenges I face is making sure the wings function correctly and are believable. I will also need to focus on getting the metal and fabric materials correct. Referencing a couple of Riot Splash images for the overall mood.
Grayscale Blockin for Value/Lighting and composition:
Made some changes to the sword and cleaned up the shape. Changed the composition to have a better balance between Kayle and the environment. Started blocking in the light as well. I really want to be sure I get the armor right. Maybe the left shoulder guards should be slightly bigger? If anyone has any C&C that would be awesome.
I've been refining color and details. I feel happier with how the sky is beginning to look. I think I am on track to complete this image by the deadline! C&C is welcome.
Really pushed the lighting as well as the detailing of the environment, armor, and wings. Definitely think this will be done in time for the deadline. Just need to do some final touches.

Right now I am thinking that the sword needs to be a bit bigger. I'm also going to do some variations on the background and see what will work best.

Made the angle of the sword a bit more dynamic and have begun adding in some color. Looking forward to refining the wings.
