Helloo!

So this is a nightime study I made, I also tried to mess with the exposure, to expose for the darks but I consider it a fail.

Any tips on how to go about thinking about exposure in your paintings?

Here's my reference, i Painted on location for about 15 min beforehand going numb, then I relied on photos and my notes on observation!

you definitely did good! you got your main shapes down some extra definition on the rocks to the left would be good, but just in the lit spot, dont render every rock
