DevOps Engineer
Psyonix, an independent video game developer located in downtown San Diego, is looking for a qualified Dev Ops Engineer for its Online Services team. The ideal candidate has significant experience configuring and maintaining servers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Monitor performance of the cloud-based backend
• Research, plan, and implement both new systems and improvements to existing systems
• Work on automation of deployment tasks
• Investigate and troubleshoot backend issues
• Work closely with the Online Services programmers and other teams
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Experience with Linux server management
• Experience with maintaining common server software (MySQL/Redis/nginx/etc)
• Experience with automation (Docker/Jenkins/Puppet/Chef/etc)
• Experience with scripting (shell/Python/etc)
• Ability to communicate clearly and troubleshoot problems alongside team members
• Ability to develop and document plans for regular or one-off tasks
Preferred:
• Experience with cloud systems
• In-depth experience with managing and optimizing MySQL servers
• Experience with monitoring software
• Understanding of programming with PHP and/or C#
• Experience managing a C# runtime on Linux (Mono or .NET Core)
• CentOS experience
