Bird legs/fee

Hey so I wanted to know if anyone has any good tips for making chicken/bird legs I'm modeling a kenku from 5e dnd and im having a little trouble with the feet. so what would you recommend i start with a cylinder or cube? any help would be great as this is due on the 6th of nov.

Hey sorry didn't get back someone gave me some help im using the quad draw to do it it works a lot better
