Hi Polycounters!
My name is Tommy and I jumped into the 3D world 2 years ago, haven't been having time to focus as much on it as I wanted to because of various reasons. Warming up again now before I start at CG Spectrum in November, in between that and doing project lead on my own game, I dive as much as I can into self study and tutorials/tips & tricks as well as anatomy studying. I`ve found out I really like making characters/creatures, so I think that will be my primary focus.
I was always a fan of
Kurt Papstein sculpts with the transparent skull, and I also got to check out how the renders worked in Zbrush and touch ups in PS. Tried to make my own creature but only using the transparency tutorial and PS workflow.

Doing some blockouts of creatures, one can be an alien form and the other seems to be some kind of vampire. I do these pretty quick to practice doing basic anatomy really quick and get that "into my system". I tend to go to quick into high polys and start detailing before things are really set, and go crazy with smoothing. Really trying to get that bad habit out.
I always like to reflect a bit on what could have been done better, should have made the eyes pop out more, as well as breaking up symmetry.

Horror Concept (Daily Sculpting)
Quick horror concept. Went in with no plan. Its Halloween so its only natural.
First day of the first week at CG Spectrum. Got a bit carried away on this face sculpt. A week left to pan out details on this sucker.
Likeness study. Damn this is hard. This actor is a big guy but with small eyes, so its so wierd and easy to get caught up in adjusting things all the time.
