[Maya 2016.5] File, Edit Menu Bar Disappearing [SOLVED]

Operating System: Windows 10 (latest)

ISSUE

Hello everyone. I was finishing up a model and closed Maya. I opened it again (without opening a file) to do something else and the top menu bar (The one that says file, edit, etc) disappeared. Not sure if there is an official name

ISOLATING PROBLEM

-Backed up prefs folder to the Desktop
-Started deleting and regenerating half the preference files and didn't see it come back.
-Started deleting and regenerating the other half the preference files and saw it come back
-Took the second half, cut THAT in half, etc, etc.
-Noticed the problem was somewhere in the userPrefs file.
-Deleted userPrefs
-Opened it with notepad to see if there was some immediate issue but I don't know how Maya has labeled the file, edit, etc menu.

[RESOLUTION/SPOILERS]

-Replaced userPrefs with an earlier backup. Be sure to make a backup of the latest WORKING prefs folder in order to recover files in a way that saves time.
-Original Cause of Issue: Pressed Ctrl+M by accident.

I do that every so often and totally forget that's a hotkey, yet I forget to ever unbind it.

Same here, I sometimes wonder why software developers have these hotkeys without warning the user when they're used... There's quite a few threads about this haha
