Hi im looking for some critique on this dragon i'm doing in zbrush. Cant help it but something looks weird, can't pinpoint the problem And i was just trying this out with the left leg.. it isn't supposed to be like that(tilted a bit)And does anyone have any idea how i can do better wings and a tail? Thanks ;D
Did redo most of the dragon today with more Zspheres. Feels much better today. But i still fell like the anatomy is still a bit off.. Want him to have a bit more of a slim appearance. Critique is more than welcome, Cheers!
I would suggest to look at some references to get an idea of what works and what doesn't. I think that it will help you out immensely. I started a pinterest board for dragons when I was making a dragon. Ive shared a link to it below
Its a good start tbh, A concept in the beginning is probably recommended if you havent sculpted alot, but some things that might be wrong are the proportions, of course depending on the style you're going for the proportions will be different, but im guessing your going for a realistic style then I would say the legs compared to the rest of the body are too small, it wouldn't be able to carry the weight. but if those are the legs you really want then you can make the torso smaller by bringing all of its top half closer to his hips,I feel like using reference of real reptiles would really help, For the wings using zspheres would be a good option, making the wings arc kinda like in this image http://image.techtimes.com/data/images/full/77919/big-brown-bat-species.jpg would help make it look like it has more of a skeletal structure and in your model they're kinda just stright, sculpting the wings are another thing you started of well sculpting the shoulder, but where you go wrong is theres no definition in the muscles,
in these two images 1st being the bat wing you can see it kinda resembles a human arm just with a elongated forearm and if you look at the second image of the human arm and combine the two you can image where the muscles will be, you could make a quick sketch of where everything is placed and sculpt from there.

You can take a lot from animal anatomy and incorporate it into your design
