@danipanteez coming strong out of the gate! @Stinger88 aw, too bad! I love your ink work. You know your time limits better than I do, but I'd encourage you (and everyone else) to just approach this at your own pace with your own goals laid out. If you feel like you don't have time, I'd still love to see a 5 minute sketch uploaded on the weekend. That said, if you feel that you stand to lose more than you gain by over-committing, I totally understand.
This one got away from me wish I hadn't added the blue.
@danipanteez heh that bird is awesome. Really solid work all throughout. Keep it up! @TJ-Works That snubnose shark is fun @TudorMorris Nice! Heh I like the "crooked" one especially.
Very nice thread! I really like your clean use of tonal values @EricElwell do you just use black and one more off color with varying amounts of ink or do you have a lot of different inks? @danipanteez I love that traveling bird, can almost envision his story! And @TudorMorris that crooked doctor is hilarious haha!
This is the one I did for "shy", and my personal favorite of my own so far:3 Quite a lot of days so I'll just post this link instead of dumping all of the imgs here: https://www.artstation.com/zeozen/albums/612359
I'm learning a lot from inking, how about you guys? Inktober taught you guys any valuable lessons yet?:)
Hey All, First time posting my work on here and I've really been enjoying this years inktober. I know I'm a bit late in this forum and I don't want to spam, so I thought I'd just share my 5 favorite drawings I've done so far. The others I have posted up on my twitter... https://twitter.com/OliverJSR
@TudorMorris Heheh, that's the tidiest "Shattered" theme I've seen. Clever precursor. @OliverJSR Like the pumpkin ghosts, and that cute pumpkin dog. It's eyes look so big and beautiful! @danipanteez He's too cute to be mad. Love the woman's fashionable look.
Welcome, newcomers! (not too late for more!) Great stuff, everybody. @Zeozen Depending on the image, I am using different techniques; but am using COPIC markers for everything seen here. Sometimes I will build up from 20% gray, stepping up gradually. Sometimes I will block in with a color and then finish with black. Sometimes I will just go straight to black, which is the method I seem to be preferring the most recently. I'm not particularly happy with my results on the slower buildup techniques.
@Zeozen I've been doing the following process: 1) Light 2H pencil, 2) Green biro 3) Letraset promarker for tone, 4) Uni-ball signo white ink pen to pick out highlights. Minor adjustments are made digitally (addition of the 'Inktober' logo and brightness/contrast to account for a less than fantastic phone camera)
I use green biro because it doesn't bleed (only slightly) and blends into a nice colour with the promarkers
@TudorMorris Thanks for the breakdown! would never have guessed the biro hehe
here's my fat teddy. got myself a white posca to help with dem highlights and tried watercolors for the second time in my life.. not as bad as the first time!
@TJ-Works nice cuphead tributes! still haven't had time to play thru it:( @danipanteez that woman with the flow going on wooow very good job! she's basically swimming across the page! @TudorMorris that's the grossest thing I've seen in a while xD
TBH this highlighted that I need to keep working on feline anatomy (probably did it a little too small as well), but the idea is down at least... Day 17 - "Graceful"

Good ol' witch for day 1!
Myself... i'll bow out this year. I'm not going to pretend I'll even get close to doing a sketch a day. Will be watching!
