I have a trouble with texel density. For example, there is a model of railway car(wagon) 9x3 meters and i need to set its texel level to 300 px/meter. I know what it mean, but i cant figure it out. So how to set it on my uv?
Thank you. I did that, all of my uv-islands now are ok, 300 px/m. But the biggest uv-island doesnt fit the 0-1 space, its bigger. So i guess, i have to split it into smaller parts to fit?
If you have to be on 300px density then yeah you need to split the map, unless you're using tiling map which is doesn't matter whether it's in or out the 0-1 boundary.
TexTool is must script Old but Gold You work on uv pls you can tell me how i can make uv 512 x 1024 when i try my texel density stop work and when i resize texel don't move then i can't see ho put model plox help XD
Sorry man I don't really understand your question, can you rephrase that? But anyway, the TexTool only resize the UV, not stretch them, so I guess if you already unwrap the mesh properly it shouldn't give yiu any issue (though once a while I realise TexTool did some fancy weird scaling thing with your UV when you sample the texel density that I have no idea why it happened)
