well it seems a little overexposed, we're losing "information" (basically just detail) on the barrel and the body in the upper photo. So I'd just lower the exposure a little either via the light intensity or post process. Aside from that, the lighting is interesting, with nice contrast and tone. It brings out the detail on the weapon, and I especially like the highlights along the edges.
In my opinion CG lighting is just photography but you have full control. A lot of the theory and techniques can be moved over for use in CG, so following standard rules with contrast, exposure and such will net you nice results.
As a side note, I know you weren't asking for critique on the model but there was something I noticed; the joining section between the main body and that barrel shield type thing (?) looks like it has a shading error, such as what's caused by bad geometry/baking. Might just be the overexposed lighting though.
Thank you Rexo12 for your advices, i will fix the lightning rightaway. And the joining section between the main body and the barrel shield is my fault in texturing, thanks for pointing that out. I will fix it too.
