[WIP] Demonic creature

So I wanted to add something to my portfolio and I found this concept from a talentend concept artist.
Currently I'm playing around with basic shapes and blockout.
At the moment, the part that is bugging me is the legs. I don't find it really convincing/anatomically correct.
So if anyone have some suggestions or tips, you are welcome !
PS : Does anyone know what is that piece that's attached to the weapon on the right of the creature ? I'm not sure, but it's kinda an armor that he puts in his arm/hand. If anyone understand chinese, would be glad to understand what he meant
