Hi, need some help on making imm curves in zbrush

I have been trying to kitbash my own brushes with curves. I am trying to make imm curve brushes like wires cables belts etc.
when i try to draw them on a curve, the scale of the brush is too small in comparison to the actual brush size. When i make the brush even bigger the stroke curve points are too far apart to make a practical decent curve.
I have used unify as well and still seem to have a problem.
Anyone knows how to do this properly? Its a learning curve for me at this point.
