I'm starting Monday as a 3D Visualization Art Manager at a non-games company called Wayfair, managing and growing a team doing mostly architectural rendering.
I'll still do some game art freelancing on the side, but I'm not full-time in game dev any more. I've been a game artist for about 25 years, and it's been a great ride. But now it's time for something new.
I'll try to keep a helping hand in the forums here, and the wiki too. Just a bit less probably. Anyhow just wanted to say, thanks for everything. See you all around.

Best of luck with your new job, hope it comes with plenty of yachtes!
Thanks for being such a cool guy here
My girl worked for Wayfair while we were in Boston and it sounds like a great company.
Good luck
Sounds like fun.
All the best
It's gonna be hard not seeing you in all the threads!
The work you do here is awesome and appreciated! So enjoy the new role and hope to see you around here still!
have been wondering what all this archviz stuff was doing on your portfolio recently ^.^
now it all makes sense
Also, really odd to check out your Arch viz rendering and recognise it as the area where I play Pokemon Go at lunch.
Also my score is through the roof, haha. Take that, Gib, and shove it up your ass!
Now, with you busy there i'll be free to terrorise the forums! buahahahahahhahahahahahha
Edit: Congrats btw.
It's been a hectic first week. Learning tons. It's also the biggest company I've ever worked directly within, what a trip it is walking through floor after floor of people all working on things together.
Also neat to be riding the Boston subway daily, been awhile since I've been part of that flow.
And greet the subway from me Love boston
But I was surprised and sad to see it is you.
Best of luck, and may you find eternal happiness, vibrant rainbows and saturated pastures
