My thoughts during this project were focused on designing a light saber that belonged to a Jedi Knight who was never found. I wanted to practice texturing as if someone tried to wipe and clean the stains of war off, and so I utilized the Sandpaper Brush in Painter. Basically, my workflow was to completely cover the surface in grease and damage, and then use brushes to scrape away at it. I was going to have a little memorial-type setting, but decided to just focus it on the model itself in the end. I still have lots to improve upon, but I am happy with how this turned out.
