Hi guys. I've recently gotten into 3D, so I apologise if the answer to this seems obvious, but I'm a bit lost.
I sculpted my first character and I want to retopologise it and rig it so I can pose and animate it. However I'm pretty new to these techniques and I'm a bit confused on how to approach it.
The sculpt is a human character wearing clothes. At first I thought I'd just retopo everything as 1 mesh, but this doesn't seem ideal if I want to make modifications to clothes or hair later since I'd have to redo the topology each time. So my question is how should I retopologise this so that it's easy to make modifications to later? Should I retopo the character body + garments separately, and will this deform properly when posing?
Render of the sculpt, in case it helps visualising. Any help and tips greatly appreciated.
