Hi Everybody! I would like to share a medieval game asset i am working on. I created a low poly mesh of that pillory in 3dsmax and the texture in photoshop with a little help from textures.com
i modelled out the wood pieces with some irregularities to give the asset a more realistic appeal. I put a lot of effort into the texture to create unique boards and signs of wear. The cracks in the wood were a good chance to place the nails in between. I baked an ambient occlusion into the texture for static shadow. Normal-Map by Nvidia NormalMapFilter.
