New to Modeling

Hey! So basically I'm a student 3 months new to 3D modeling and I want to get better than I am now as fast as I can (relatively speaking). Any advice from you guys or critiques on my work would be greatly appreciated.

I would love to finish the Iron Giant but I can barely even open the file anymore. and any 1 process (i.e. append to polygon tool) could take anywhere up to 10 minutes to load. I can't find a solution

Trying to open it now so I can take better screenshots
