Got inspired by lighting in my fiancee's room yesterday and decided to model a simple scene. Something new for me, but also seems to be fairly simple and fast project so why not.
Blockout phase together with some lighting experiments for today.
Added more details, corrected mistakes, upresed and made UVs for everything. Almost ready for texturing process, although I will probably add more objects later on.
Well i didn't work with 3DS max (only program that i have some experience)so far, but i really enjoy modelling and will try to do my best with constancy and hard work If we encourage each other it will be much easier to maintain and progress so expect my work tomorrow, it wont be something special, just a base model, but we need to put brick by brick to build a house !!
Dear lord you are getting good fast! Makes me want to take up this challenge myself.
Maybe you can challenge yourself further yet at some point, and make 1 item a day for the purposes of creating a full scene in a room? I know you have basic scenes here, but a complex one will really polish an art portfolio
Thank you for kind words it means a lot for me! You are completely right about complex scene, there are two problems though.
First one is my unability to focus on one thing for a long period of time. It's bad for sure and I need to work on it. The second one is my laptop I work on, even the scene above required some performance optimalisation to finish. Anyway I'm working on a bigger Starcraft themed scene and have to go back to it so wish me luck :P
From tomorrow on I'd like to try making "Texturing March", which basically would be just focusing on texturing for next 31 days. I plan to learn more Susbstance Designer and Substance Painter, try to hand-paint a bit (I'm not really good at it, but I enjoy it for sure) and probably also trying to find free models in web to texture it. If you want to send me some nice models to texture, go on
It's last day of no-texturing so I decided to have fun with scultping once again
Let's go with texturing in Substance Designer, probably first few days I'd spend following tutorials . Rocky Road for today! Probably would work also as a wall :P
Mosaic floor. Mainly by following tutorial (by Sharpstance, check out this guy on youtube if you want to learn Substance Designer!), with a few additional tweaks .
I modelled and made UVs yesterday and now trying to learn texture painting. I'm quite horrible at it, but I hope to get at least mediocre final result. Basic coloring + lamps today
