Happy New Year!

I'm way behind the curve adopting Substance Designer, so I decided to jump in and start learning. It is incredible how powerful the program is.

The first material I decided to try was the yellow plastic tiles you find on subway platforms (tactile surface indicators) and I also had the sage advice of Josh Lynch during his December mentorship program.

I was just looking at your portfolio before The substance Designer work looks cool. I'm learning how to sculpt before I jump into substance des.

Substance Painter is amazing though

 Thanks man! Yea I love Designer b/c you can make changes so quickly and easily, iteration time is insanely fast. Not so true with sculpting though! But both methods are insanely powerful

Cool materials! I'm planning to jump into substance sometime in the next couple months myself so I'll definitely keep these in mind as reference. I especially like the subway platform material. 

How was Josh's program? I've been loosely considering signing up for it sometime this year but I'd guess it's better to go into it with a basic knowledge of the software first.

@Zipfinator Thanks dude! The stuff on your workshop is very cool Very vibrant! Glad you like the platform mat, I need to redo the render lol someone said the gum looks like poop! haha So definitely need to address that.

@josh_lynch 's mentorship was great man, and to be honest I went into it knowing absolutely nothing, blank slate. So it was a platform to help vault my skills forward with really good guidance and advice. I think its totally worth it, if you are willing to put in the work.
