Hey guys! Thought I'd share with you a character I worked on for one of my modules at Staffordshire University. We were tasked to do a fake art test on a 'next gen Skylanders DLC character of our own design' This was my process and result!

Retopo! I used a mix of ZBrush Zmodeller and Topogun!
Unwrap time! 3DSMax for these!
Test Pose - This was for previewing baked maps in Marmoset 3, real quick and dirty base made with a few cubes and dynamesh.
Mesh explode and bake test! Originally planned to bake using the 'By Mesh Name' feature in Substance Painter but I was having issues with scaling in 3DSMax to set this up properly. OBJ's were exporting at over twice the size for some reason even though all the settings were default!
Initial texture tests in Substance - really should have created some palettes beforehand as designing on the fly was time consuming and didn't go as planned at first!
Final textures done! Marmoset prep now:
Bonus! Set him up in UE4 with a few tweaks. Hoping to get one of my friends to get a few small anims going!
