Just saw one of your youtube uploads and I think I noticed it amongst the crazy flood of spam in my feed since I am also trying to make medieval clothing. Pretty cool stuff, I am looking forward to the armor. Your going to texture it right? The cloth folds and details are really nice. The shirt trim is interesting, did you have a reference or just make it up? I think the wrist and the side of chest areas seem a bit too form fitting for the material to me. Its suppose to be a stiff material for the shirt right or did they tailor shirts to taper towards the wrist back then? Zoomed out the wrists seem tapered a lot or tied off by invisible rope to me from the front view. So thats my "negative critical feedback" which I would'nt take too serious since your way better then me.
That is some fine progress on this character, love the video series as well. Do you have a moodboard or some sort of concept art you're working towards?
Nice work so far. I really like the structure of the new videos, much easier to follow since it focuses on only one object at a time. I was wondering if recording every step includes the horse and rigging too?
careful with the length of his breastplate. right now it looks like it might be sitting at his hips, when it should be at his waist. there's this really great youtube channel devoted to medieval armor accuracy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vTlDHm4boQ&spfreload=10
Thanks for the quick reply. The tutorial series has been really helpful for me so far. I really like the topology for the base mesh so I was wondering if it was possible to share/view it in sketchfab or marmoset viewer so that it can be to studied?
