I have some textures which I've exported from World Machine but I'm having trouble matching them up in Zbrush.

I loaded the alpha from the height map and that works great, but now i want the diffuse to correspond with the height. only way to do this in my head is to load the colour in as texture so it matches perfectly while I paint with the height.

As you can see my texture isn't being applied but its loaded in..Im pretty new to Zbrush so I'm probably just noobing out here..

Although this makes me think it may have to be an extension... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IrxZT11804

Thanks.

I think this is just happening as the model lacks polypaint to begin with.
Simply switch the current texture back to 'Texture Off', and then fill the object with white polypaint (Color: Fill Object).
Note:  You may want to work with RGB rather than MRGB, so that you don't apply the Red Wax material as well.

You won't notice an immediate change on the model due to how the Matcap materials blend with polypaint, but once you start painting with the alpha and texture you should see the results you were expecting.

Awesome I did get it working, at least there is the dark marts on the image showing. The texture seems to be slightly transparent, any ideas on why this is?

    Thanks again for your reply!

Check the Texture palette to make sure Transparency is off; if it is on (which I think it is by default) then Zbrush might be treating black areas of the texture as being transparent.
