Baking normals problem.

hi everyone, i have baked my normals in Xnormals and i get this weird artifacts on my tires.
My UV map is 2048 by 2048. AA at 2x.
On the Normal map i included, on the bottom left is the UV space for the tires which all the 4 tires share the same uv space .

your normalmap overall looks not that good. cant figure out what it is, but there are minor issues. maybe take a look at this: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Texture_Baking

how is your highpoly looking?
do you use a cage?

if you cant figure out the problem maybe some more informations will help me/us.

One of the problems is your uv map, it's not terribly efficient and imo the tire should be on a separate texture entirely.

I dont know how big the truck is but the wheel islands are tiny on the uv sheet, especially as they are stacked. Also, turn off the reflection on the TB material so we can see it easier.

thanks guys for the replies, but i did try to increase the uv island for the tires and tried using substance painter to bake out the normals (where i used mini settings) and got better results with it

It seems like in general, your highpoly model is not well suited to baking. It looks like the edges on every part of your HP are supre sharp, so there isn't really much/any detail to pick up.

Yes, agree to @EarthQuake. Your edges are way to sharp. Smooth them out and try again;)

Thanks a lot guys. @EarthQuake, this maybe the problem and i'm going to fix it and give it a try again. Or elsei will just use the high res tires in the Unreal
