Hi guys!
It will a small family house somewhere in USA 80's-90's, where you can walk and interact with different objects.
The main goal of that project is better understanding workflow for creating game environments in UE4.
I'll work on it in my free time.
Comments and critiques are most welcome.
Best regards,
Andrew

no-no, there are will be a TV from 80's or 90's=)
Of course it will be there too.
New updates are coming!
I created a Master material which I can use on almost every asset in the project (except glass and decals I think) I'm not completely sure that it's right way, please tell me if I'm doing wrong, but anyway here is material:
It has many different parameters which give me a big flexibility. As you can see It's not final version. During my work I will debug it. Here is a couple examples how it's works on objects without baking:
And here is on the unique asset:
On this stage every asset has instance from my Master material:
(oh, here is one from Substance Painter :-D):
Thank you for watching and sorry if I had many mistakes in English
Best wishes,
Andrew
Windows has a simple normal texture with water drops
I made a Master material for glass too. I think I will not have many glass objects in my project, but it was interesting for me and I made a master material which has a different parameters for glass objects.
Here is some examples:
It's just for performance. You can call only one Master material instead many times different. I mean if I will use instances of Master material it will take less memory than if I will call each Master material every time.
I decided to continue my work from kitchen. Here is some new screenshots:
I created a couple materials usig by Substance Designer. As I said early I will try to use Substance Designer as much as possible in this project.
P.S. Guys, I need to ask you something. Can you add here some photos of important things that much associated with 80-90's in USA? (May be some from your childhood) It will very help me understand details of environment. Thank you!
Some examples of SD materials:
Also made a couple assets:
also as a sidenote.. update your artstation link. it doesnt work
Sorry about artstation link. Now it should work
Thank you!
Yes, I used Painter for that
Thank you dude!
New screenshots with finished beds. Had to kill some details for optimisation
Next little update:
It's been one year since the start of this project. If I had know hard it would be to create a fully designed house with all of the necessary rooms and objects, I think I might have chosen something different. The hardest part of this project was to stay self-motivated. Sometimes I didn't want to continue; however, I'm responsible for my work and I knew I couldn't not finish the project. Now I have a lot of things to show you. So, can I continue with a beer bottle model and some kind of old VHS recorder? ;D
Hope you like it!
In my scene, I sometimes added some stuff from my favorite movies. Here is an old flip clock that I found interesting from Back to The Future movie
Hello guys,
I'm glad to show you the finished living room. This room I made first and tried to achieve the lighting for all house like in the autumn evening time. Hope you'll like it! c&c are welcome as always
I like the mood that you are going for. But your scene seems pretty dark to me overall, I think it could be more readable if it's a little bit brighter
I made a little update for scene lighting. Also made more light bounces for direct light. Hope the scene looks better now
Also, there is 360 panorama on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XXer3
I used nvidia Ansel to grab 360
C&C are welcome as always!
mutatedjellyfish, I did the same things when played Uncharted 4 and was very impressed Also saw your artworks for Rick and Morty, models look great!
convolution223, I wanted to use it for the entire scene but in the end, decided to create else one master material but much lighter for objects with unique textures because they no need most of the parameters. Also, there are different Master materials for glass and SSS
I took a break for couple evenings for Substance practice
