I experience strange problem in 3d paint mode. Maybe I don't understand something. When I set brush to 100% opacity and black or white color it paints with no problem. If I set color 50% gray brush has no influence. And if I choose any other gray color brush lightens or darkens image, don't paint on it. It looks like it has kind of overlay blending mode, but I have no Idea where to change it.

It's basically hard light blending mode for DynaMask painting. The middle value 50% gray should actually clear the paint up like an eraser as you see in your examples. Gradual values should linearly interpolate towards black or white.

Well I supposed something like that. Is there any way to paint in normal mode?

Not currently, no - this is hard-coded. We can definitely look into changing it in the future.

The hard light blending only applies to masked painting. Using a color layer will bypass this behavior.

Thanks for your answer. The problem is that I need to remove border between two UV shells like on my screenshot. This is quite challenge with hard-light brush)
