FINAL Jason Peacock - Character

I will be creating my interpretation of the strange being that introduces the main character to the world. While the source material describes him as a "man" I have decided to take some liberties and make him an alien who travels space and time collecting ornate objects and relics from the 1900s. He has brought David to join him on an urgent expedition that could change the fate of his world...

Right now I'm just collecting reference material of 1900s clothing and decorative items. This will be my first Polycount contest so I'm really excited to get started. I hope to post some WIP images soon.

My intent was not to really make this a "man". I considered it an alien all along. I have changed the story to reflect it. Thank you for pointing that out I can't wait to see your progress. I love where your story is going.

Started working on some clothing patterns in Marvelous Designer.

Just doing some preliminary sculpting on my alien stranger. Mostly messing around with forms and silhouette at the moment, there's still so much to do!

Here's some look and color dev on the head. I want to clearly define some more of the details and shapes on his face, any suggestions/critiques are welcome

The texture looks amazing! Though I feel that the yellow is a little bit too strong? The coloring on the ears and mouth is really nice

Thanks guys! This was a quick polypaint, so I'll definitely keep your advice in mind for the final texture. I'd like him to be more fleshy/pink than yellow.

One more work in progress before the deadline. Got a lot done but not nearly as much as I wanted to. Gonna attempt to clean-up, pose and texture this guy by tomorrow, wish me luck!

Really like it now the small details are put in, still looks friendly and the top row of eyes make it slightly predatory. Once you add some texture to the skin its gonna look awesome. Keen to see how you wrap it up.

Had trouble with Keyshot crashing this morning so I rendered in ZBrush. Thanks to everyone that put this contest on, it was so much hard work but I learned a lot and it was totally worth it. I still have A LOT of refinement to do on this guy, I hope to finish him in the future.

Thankfully I was able to take some time tonight to refine my render. I was also able to add some subtle texture patterns to the cloth and leather to give it a nicer look. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of The Stranger.
