Hello guys, I'm still working on my scene in UE4 and would love to add some spider webs on the corners of the room, but I would like to know the best way to create them. I'm still new in the industry.
The latest games where I've seen webs were crawling through vents in Deus Ex Mankind Divided and in an attic in Dishonoured haha. From what I've seen, draping a few polys in a corner and adding a texture of a web with an alpha to make it transparent in-between the strands is the way to go. Most of the effect is accomplished by how you arrange the polygons I'd imagine, but maybe make the web itself a bit transparent as well.
