Hey, I've been out of school for a year now, and I've got a few jobs under my belt, but still no character art work. I've come a long way since I last posted one of these, but it's a never ending process. I would love it if you guys could rip it to pieces so I know where to go from here. My portfolio is www.Lutes3D.com

I can see you have a style of your own shining through in your character models. However I think you need more practice with anatomy and sculpting. The clothes on the women for example a lot of the wrinkles don't make much sense. The fur on her collar is also not very believable, due to its material being shiny and the shape of it( if you don't want to use alpha maps, make that fur really spiky and defined so we know its fur.

Your weapons are very nicely done, I love all of them. But I can tell you do props more than characters, maybe I'm wrong.

You said you've been out of school for a year? I would like to see all the assets you've created filling up your site. right now we only have a couple examples to look at, that are generally all in the same style. Maybe experiment a little with some new styles and genres. Fan art is a good way to do that.

Good stuff Alutes, I hope to see you post more models on your website. If you have time, speed sculpt something everyday to practice your anatomy.

Plasmidgene, thank you for the advice and critiques. You are correct about the props, by the way.

About five months ago I got a lot of good advice about stepping up my game on painting my textures, and I've made a lot of progress in rigging as well, so any of my older work is embarrassing. I will be continuing to practice every day, and posting the best that comes up.
