Here's my entry for this contest.

My idea was, make hydrographic/tiled simple pattern.

Inspiration I took from film called "Fantastic Planet" made in early 70's.


Red shapes representing background mountains and mushrooms are like unexplored plants from another planet.

So this pattern in game with changed colours looks like this.



Now I appreciate any suggestion for improvements.

Its a bit hard to work out what is going on, I'd probably make it so you can see the shape of the gun a bit better.

@luke7183 Indeed, it's more likely abstract visual. And about shape, I can try rework background but I'm afraid that'll not work while it's full randomized pattern position.

I'm also doing a mp9, it has alot of weird patterns but you can still make them out. It helps to put them certain spots that kind of go with the contours of the model.  Its just easier on the eyes.
