Hi, I have applied 1 material to the head and 1 to the body in Maya, After Importing The FBX into UE4 IT shows 3 Materials/ elements on the mesh,
I dont know where the 3rd material has come from.
And the 2 materials are not on the faces I chose (head, Body) Instead they are scattered randomly.
The mesh is one piece, And I applied the materials to the faces of the head and faces of the body.
Any ideas guys ?

I FOUND A FIX!
I turned off triangulate at FBX export options in maya...
And it came out perfect!
Any idea to why this happened? it seemed like triangulating the mesh through the FBX export messed my material ids
