Maya - UV totally destroyed

Hey everyone,
I modelled a dragon in maya, but when I started to cut the seems for the UV, I noticed that there where already some seems. But the problem was that i wasn't able to sew the seems, so I imported the model as a fbx into blender for sewing the seems. After that I imported the dragon back to maya and everything was good, all seems were sewed. Now i was able to set the seems where ever I want. I did my work for the uv layout, but during the texturing I got a big problem. I painted the uvs in photoshop and when i imported the image to maya the texture on my dragon is squashed and many times multiplied, although all uvs are on the right place in the uv editor. I tried many things to fix that, but nothing worked. Does anyone have some ideas to fix that?
