I've been working on this as my lunch time project for several weeks now. This bow is intended to accompany a rabbit archer whom I have modelled but haven't begun texturing yet. I wanted to get my feet wet on the bow before jumping into the full character.
I started designing, and mixing together a few ideas. Mostly just silhouettes.
I eventually combined C and D to get here...
I did a sculpt in Zbrush to get the design in 3d and then retopologized to get a low poly mesh..
This is where I'm at right now trying to paint with light sources in mind. I did a little bit of metal plate design on the fly to add scale and interest to the bow.
Getting there, Just a bit more to polypaint then I plan to finish everything up in photoshop. More to come soon.
Thanks

Here's just some adjustments I think would make it sparkle a tad bit more than it already is... literally haha.
- Add a bluish rim light from underneath
- Exaggerate the highlights a bit more to bring out/compliment the goldish metal parts
- Overall a small colour correction (this is a very subtle adjustment)
Hope that helps
