Texture artist Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate closely with concept artists and Environment Lead to create visually stunning hand painted textures.
Freely interpret concept art and realize it as textures for environments
Apply textures and provide UV layouts when applicable
Create textures in a hand painted style.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a texture artist / illustrator
Proven ability to work in the 2D and 3D space
Excellent at setting and driving a vision
Excellent follow through and takes initiative to solve problems
An exceptional understanding of architecture as it applies to level design, light, and color
A thorough understanding of the level design process
Able to explore a wide variety of ideas that push the Indivisible Art Style
PLUSES
A degree or formal art education such as illustration, or traditional painting
Experience working on a game with hand painted textures.
Knowledge of Zbrush and its uses in creating textures.
Working knowledge of Maya and its UV layout functions.
