Entrenching tool used by military personnel, make in maya, sculpted details in zbrush, textured and baked within substance painter. Any crits would be lovely!
As per pointing out the bolts, above, I think @Nuclear Angel is correct. Quickly sifting through some reference, there seemed to be two generations of the shovel. The first gen is the one with the bolts, and they do in fact affect the rear:
First gen with bolts on the front, affecting the rear as seen:
Front of the 2nd gen, where there are no bolts on the face of the shovel (rear or front), and instead screws into the wood handle:
Really good materials and detailing, would like to see texture flats. Having some of the paint overapplied onto the wood near where it joins the metal like in some of those references could look neat also.
Hey thanks XD, yeah i should probably start uploading my uv flats, will be good for my portfolio. I agree with the paint extra detail idea. I will put maps up on https://www.artstation.com/artist/adamjknight_3d at another date , thanks for you crit!
Lovely spade. I'd second the bolts being on both sides. Even though a version was made that doesn't have the bolts on 1 side, I'd say that since people are expecting it, they should still be there to improve believability(even if the boltless version is just as real).

Awesome model, again, nonetheless. Goodluck!
