Well, that's pretty cool. Yeah too dark, some stuff are a bit sloppy, and honestly i like the outrageously saturated colors of the serie. But you nailed the transition from 2d to 3d. Always wanted to make a super castevania IV first level remake
man, this is seriously so rad. your hard work on this definitely pays off! but, i do have to agree with everyone else that it's too dark. I think if you just tossed some lights in the interiors it would make a huuuge difference! Keep at it! And definitely looking forward to this next update on this!
I am absolutely astounded that you managed to make the concept of different game planes work as smoothly considering how difficult that is to make sense of in 3D. yeah it's a bit odd but it works really well!
Great job thus far. Increasing the glow radius on the candles? Or increasing the intensity the light coming from the moon? Just like the sun, a full moon will light up everything within it's reach. It'll give off an eerie soft glow. Even the smallest of changes can improve the visibility a great deal. Have you thought about adding foreground lighting of some sort? Maybe an occasional candle stand that isn't a part of the game play but lights up the area a little more. Torches in the lower areas.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with in an update.

You sure you want to just make a fangame? Because you could do much more with it.
