Our forum software currently has a problem with PNG files.
If you attach one to your post, the server will attempt to re-compress the file, but it will do a horrible job so the file size gets really large.
Large image files make your threads very slow to load. This is especially bad for those viewing on mobile, since often carriers apply data caps, and people have slower connections when moving around. But in general, everyone tends to hate waiting for images to load, mobile or not.
We are aware of the problem, and are looking into a fix.
We recommend using JPGs instead. For details, see the sticky
Information About Polycount & New Member Introductions.
We may send you a warning if you post a large PNG. Don't take it personally if you get one. The warning system is just an easy way for moderators to contact you about a specific post. No one else can see if you have a warning, and points don't add up or anything.
In the meantime, we would appreciate it if you could use JPGs, but of course this is up to you.
Sorry for the inconvenience! We'll roll out a fix as soon as we can.

And the 3/4 of the image being grey background really helps show off the forms of the model.
